Sacred Phoenix

Parable of the Phoenix

"It is the year 2011 and the infamous year of 2012 is lurking around the corner for all to fear. The media is flooded with information about the supposed doom to soon come. However, this dooms day forecast that is perpetuated by the Mayan Calendar is dismissed, as pseudo-science by a Wikipedia entry on this topic:

The 2012 phenomenon comprises a range of eschatological beliefs that cataclysmic or transformative events will occur on December 21, 2012.[1][2][3] This date is regarded as the end-date of a 5,125-year-long cycle in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. Various astronomical alignments and numerological formulae related to this date have been proposed.

A New Age interpretation of this transition postulates that this date marks the start of time in which Earth and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a new era.[4] Others suggest that the 2012 date marks the end of the world or a smaller catastrophe. Scenarios suggested for the end of the world include the arrival of the next solar maximum, or Earth's collision with a black hole or a passing planet called "Nibiru".

Scholars from various disciplines have dismissed the idea of such cataclysmic events occurring in 2012. Mainstream Mayanist scholars state that predictions of impending doom are not found in any of the extant classic Maya accounts, and that the idea that the Long Count calendar "ends" in 2012 misrepresents Maya history.[3][5] The modern Maya do not consider the date significant, and the classical sources on the subject are scarce and contradictory.[6] Astronomers and other scientists have rejected the apocalyptic forecasts as pseudoscience, stating that the anticipated events are contradicted by simple astronomical observations.[7] www.wikipedia.com online Free Encyclopedia:

I stopped believing in end of the world theories in the year 2000 because; since I was thirteen I had been living my life in fear of the end thanks to HBO and Nostradomus,” a French apothecary and reputed seer who published collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide.” (for more info on Nostradomus see wikipedia.com. However, these claims of and ending of the planet earth as we know it are still being taken to heart by many, young and old alike are glued to the latest info in hopes of preparing for the end or perhaps to get their daily thrill as if watching a "Nightmare on Elm Street" sequel.

"Fear is the average person's long time friend. He is no stranger, he sometimes will sit and chat with you while you sip your morning cup of coffee, or quietly reminds you to give him a call incase you get lonely or he will nudge you when you are in a crowed room where almost everyone fits some sort of terrorist profile. Fear is so close you almost feel the need to propose and just tie the not. However, there is also another friend that will visit just as frequently but a little less persistent. She will only show up when you really want her around. She will show up when you are well rested and focused on something that brings you happiness and a sense of inner well-being. She will show up when you decided I am going to do something positive for others and myself. She will happily tag along and give you more support, inspiration and motivation. Her name is Joy. Unfortunately, she will not stick around whenever Fear shows up because the two are adversaries."

This is the parable my Grandmother told me before she passed away at the rip young age of 90.  She reminded me that these two friends are always going to be there for us but it is up to you to decide, which one you will invite over more frequently. With that she took a deep sigh and grinned the most beautiful gin as she lied there with her silver long hair as I ingested a ting of her wisdom into my being.

Then I thought..."Joy! What a crazy and simplistic word to become infested with. Some people actually team up and fear her because they don't believe they have a right to feel her beautiful presence, it is such an overwhelming experience when you are in her presence”.

Then I asked one last question of her on her deathbed. " Grandma how does one master Fear and become best friends with his adversary Joy?"

She joyfully responded,” You must find your MuBennu and learn its mysteries. “

"What is that "I replied?

She gently answered me saying "Well, your MuBennu is that fluid part of your essence which loosely translates to water Phoenix. Over the years there has been many stories about the mysteries of the Phoenix and it's origins but there are no origins; only cycles like energy constant renewal. The Phoenix represents a state of constant beingness like energy changing states but never really dying ".

I proclaimed. "But really Water Phoenix? There is no such thing, everyone knows the Phoenix deals with the element fire".

She shakes her head in joyous disapproval. "Or so you have been told: fire was the end of it's last cycle. The Phoenix is a universal symbol that is why there are accounts in so many ancient cultures. The Phoenix knows no religion, culture, race or creed. It just shows up when it is needed to teach its lessons. The Phoenix is reborn from fire but Remember it renews itself everyone 1,000 years and before birth from fire there is a period of Gestation...
